TOPIC: WITHOUT SPOT OR WRINKLES 

TEXT: Ephesians 5:26-27

TODAY’S MESSAGE:

The context of our text today deals primarily with how couples should relate in a marriage. The man is to love his wife as Christ loves the Church, while the woman is to submit to her husband as the Church submits to Christ. Equally, both of them are to mutually submit to each other. This is how to create a happy marriage filled with love, peace, and joy.

There is however another very important nugget that our text underscores – the fact that our Saviour and Lord is preparing a holy people who have been washed in His own BLOOD and are being washed daily by the WATER of His WORD. The ultimate aim is to produce people without SPOT or WRINKLE who are rapture-ready. If you have not been washed in the BLOOD OF THE LAMB, please do not let today pass away without repenting and giving your life to Christ in order to be forgiven, cleansed, and saved. Meanwhile, those of us who have already been washed in the BLOOD of the Lamb must also continue to submit ourselves to the WASHING of the WATER by the WORD. There are wrinkles (such as unforgiveness, bitterness, resentment, divisions, lies, and the like) that must be ironed out of our lives as part of our preparations for the rapture. Jesus is coming back for us very soon; and those that have this hope in them must purify themselves even as He is pure.

Prayer Point: Let your Word like fire purge me of every dross or filth that is still found in me in Jesus name.
